Dermal Fillers Orpington

Dermal Fillers London Bridge

Dermal Fillers can be used to treat a range of skin concerns such as lack of volume and help to fill in facial wrinkles, restoring a smoother appearance.

Fillers use Hyaluronic acid, a substance we produce naturally in our bodies to maintain healthy skin. Over time, production of hyaluronic acid declines, leading to an increased number of fine lines and wrinkles and loss of volume.

Dr Bhavjit Kaur believes in treating multiple areas of the face, to create facial harmony and a more noticed overall enhancement.

The following can be treated with dermal fillers: ‘Crows feet’ at the corner of the eyes, ‘Frown lines’ between the eyebrows, ‘Smokers lines’ which are vertical lines on the top lip, ‘Marionette lines’ at the corner of the mouth, ‘Worry lines’ which run across the forehead and the definition of the lip border.

As well as treating lines, dermal fillers are used to replace lost volume in cheeks, restore dark circles, plump lips and sculpt the face.

Dermal fillers work well with anti-wrinkle injections and allow patients to enjoy almost instant result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dermal fillers contain high volumes of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by the body. They are injected into specific areas to replace lost volume, smooth lines and wrinkles, add definition and restore a more youthful look.

Results normally last between 12 and 18 months, however, this varies from patient to patient. It also depends on the type of filler used as well as the treatment area.

Normally your appointment will last between 30 and 90 minutes depending on the area(s) treated. Your appointment will include a consultation with Dr Bhavjit.

Patients may find treatment slightly uncomfortable. We use a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) and many dermal fillers also contain anaesthetic to reduce pain.

Any swelling or redness should go down soon after the treatment but it’s a good idea to avoid sun beds, saunas, steam rooms and extreme temperatures. It’s also important to not wear make-up for 12 hours after your treatment.

Dermal fillers are an extremely safe treatment and many thousands of procedures have been carried out. We only use top quality dermal fillers to perform treatments.

Anyone who has a history of allergies or skin sensitivities, is pregnant or nursing, is taking certain medications, has a history of keloid scarring or other skin conditions, or has an active skin infection is not a good candidate for fillers.

The safest face fillers are hyaluronic acid-based fillers, such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero. These fillers are biocompatible, FDA-approved, and have minimal side effects.

Most people can sleep as normal after dermal fillers. However, it is important to follow the instructions of Dr Bhavjit Kaur. For example, Dr Bhavjit may recommend avoiding lying down for a few hours after the procedure. It is also important to avoid any activities that may cause pressure on the injected area, such as sleeping on your stomach.
