Frequently Asked Questions

Microneedling uses tiny needles on a handheld device that makes controlled micro-channels (tiny holes) in the skin where ageing has begun to reveal itself. This causes the skin to react by stimulating collagen and elastin to send to the area to heal it. Once this happens, the collagen adds volume to the skin, and the elastin helps return the skin to its original state.

Treatment times will vary on patient, area of the body being treated and penetration depth but most treatments are performed within 30 minutes.

Microneedling can treat a wide variety of skin concerns on the face and body. The treatment is suitable for all skin types, anywhere on the body, anytime of year.

1 – Numbing cream is applied to the skin.

2 – Microneedle tip is placed on the epidermis.

3 – Microneedles penetrate the tissue. There are numerous settings for depth of treatment.

4 – Collagen remodeling and elastin strengthening begin, with effects seen weeks post-treatment.
